Shifting gears: always seem to have your hands full?

Not with the new Thomas pressure reducing valve generation

Time to rejoice if you are an operator of construction and agricultural machinery: The new, further improved PPCP09 HF 2.0 pressure-reducing valve for power shuttle transmissions is designed to make everyday work much easier – it’s all about convenience. How does it work? The next-generation PPCP09 HF enables one-handed gear shifting in construction and agricultural machinery. Little wonder that it has already been attracting a great deal of interest, particularly in China.

In China, many agricultural machines are equipped with a transmission featuring an electro-hydraulically controlled wet clutch. As far as user-friendliness is concerned, however, there is still room for improvement. With this in mind, operators are increasingly opting for a technical upgrade in the form of state-of-the-art power shuttle transmissions. In this context, the Thomas-engineered PPCP09 HF 2.0 is often „on board“ as a key component.

Tangible benefits: effortless gear changes

One of the particularly convenient features for machine operators is the much smoother change from forward to reverse travel. What’s more, one hand remains free for other machine operations. For example, the front loader can be controlled effortlessly by means of a joystick in parallel with the gearshift procedure. What is more, changing gears is significantly faster and more precise, making work smoother and more efficient – regardless of the size of the machine. Even 200 hp tractors with power shuttle transmissions benefit from the new technology.

Features

  • Long service life under extreme conditions
  • 90° Deutsch connector DT04-2P available
  • Supply voltage: 12 V / 24 V
  • Max. internal leakage < 1.25 l/min

Wide range of applications: also suitable for large clutches

The PPCP09 HF 2.0 – “HF” stands for “High Flow” – has played a pivotal role in taking this technology to the next level. Thomas made refinements to Generation 2.0 of the pressure-reducing valve in several areas for the purpose of further boosting its performance and making it suitable for use in an even wider range of applications without having to implement any major adjustments. As in the case of the direct-controlled PPCD09 proportional pressure control valve, it is designed for high flow rates and can be installed in large clutches. It can also be fitted in the tightest of spaces, as it is available with a 90-degree connector. Last but not least, it is particularly resistant to grime. Whether in agricultural machinery or tractors, in road milling machines, bulldozers, mining vehicles, or similar applications: The PPCP09 HF 2.0 makes light work of heavy-duty jobs – and not just in China.
